Fermented in stainless steel tanks at 50°F 1 to .5 brix per day. Aerative pump-overs twice a day. Pressed at dryness.
Vintage Notes
The 2020 Chardonnay from Central Coast, Santa Clara, reflects a challenging year of heatwaves and wildfire threats. The early bud break and accelerated ripening due to intense summer heat resulted in robust, tropical fruit flavors. Despite these challenges, well-managed vineyards-maintained balance, yielding crisp, high-quality wines with refreshing acidity.
Tasting Notes
The 2020 Chardonnay, stainless-steel fermented, is a crisp, vibrant expression of the grape. The cool growing season enhanced the natural acidity, leading to flavors of green apple, citrus, and subtle tropical notes. With a whisper of minerality, this unoaked vintage is refreshingly clean, showcasing the purity and precision of the fruit and terroir.
